Commandment #3: You shall not make yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them;for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God. With the passing of Michael Jackson there is so much idolatry going on. Even Janet Jackson made the comment on BET " You see Michael as an icon we see him as family." I understand that Michael's death was sudden and untimely and I pray that he repented and trusted in Jesus as his savior before he passed. Only God knows.
We must not put him on a pedestal. He was a very talented man in so many ways. He had many quirks about him that made him very unusual to many,but he should not be worshipped. I saw a youtube video of a tribute to Michael and at the end the caption "Long live the King." That hit me hard. I know he is called the "king of Pop",however there is only one King that we should be worshiping and that is Jesus Christ. For he is still alive and sitting on the right hand of God. God bless Michaels family in this time of trouble. I pray that the kids will be blessed in this time sadness.
Worship God and Jesus only. Worship no one else.
